The team

Our national banking and finance team advises clients on a range of financing transactions across a wide variety of sectors, often with a multi-jurisdictional element. We work for a wide variety of clients including borrowers, lenders, debt funds and investors meaning we have a practical understanding of the needs of all parties on financing transactions. Our expertise extends to corporate lending, leverage finance, venture debt, asset finance and real estate finance (both investment and development), both on a bilateral and a syndicated basis. We work closely with some of the UK's major banks, alternative lenders and financial institutions and have approved panel status with many of them.

The Leeds banking and finance team is fast growing, innovative and a fun and collegiate team. The successful candidate will join a supportive and  non-hierarchal team and will be encouraged to take part in local and national business development.

The role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an associate to join our team. You will be able to work closely with the local partners as well as the wider national team on their matters and will be heavily involved in some high value transactions. The role will focus on leveraged finance, corporate lending and venture debt with the opportunity to work on real estate finance and asset based lending if the candidate requests.

The successful candidate will have spent the early part of their career in a banking and finance discipline. You will have experience liaising with borrowers, lenders and investors on the full transaction lifecycle and be confident reviewing conditions precedent and drafting security documents. We are looking for someone with strong general banking experience, who is looking to take the next step in their career and join our market-leading team.

Working closely with the local and national banking team, we would expect you to be able to support and assist others in the team on a range of work, including leverage finance, corporate lending and venture debt.

Equal opportunities

Our approach to our people is underpinned by our approach to diversity, inclusion and well-being. Our ambition is to build a diverse and ambitious workforce that reflects all backgrounds and talents, and a workplace that is supportive and inclusive, recognises and nurtures talent, and has a strong sense of community between colleagues.

This means that everyone who either applies to or works for the firm is treated equally, whatever their gender, age, ethnic origin, nationality, marital status, disability, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
