Swiitch, the Conveyancing arm of Shoosmiths, offers a highly professional conveyancing service designed to make the process of buying or selling property as efficient and stress-free for their clients.

The role

To be expert with the technical elements of the conveyancing process, and to provide a quality know how, with a customer service focus, working in accordance with the Shoosmiths Values and Agreed Behaviours. 

Main responsibilities
  • Competently, confidently and consistently undertake all key functions of the conveyancing transaction.
  • To be proficient in checking Freehold, Leasehold, Unregistered, New Build and Shared Ownership titles.
  • Experienced in handling complex conveyancing transactions including drafting transfers of part, overage agreements, option agreements, rural transactions, drafting new leases, deeds of easements and transactions involving Trusts.
  • To have experience in dealing with high value properties and high net worth clients and to be able to offer a bespoke customer service to meet those client needs. 
  • To be able to supervise and manage paralegals, systems, and processes, to ensure the efficient running of a transaction and caseload.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer care to all clients and work providers.

Depending on management experience, this role offers the opportunity to manage a team of up to 3 paralegals, and management of the day to day running of a caseload. 

You will have account responsibility for managing referrals from key suppliers and be required to attend regional meetings from time to time, seeking to establish a co-working and harmonious relationship with our suppliers.  

You will be required to attend the office daily during your probation period for training and supervision purposes.  There will be an opportunity for agile working following successful completion of probation.
